NIS2 in a European Country Comparison

The European general cybersecurity Directive NIS 2 must be implemented in all EU Member States - but how far has implementation progressed in the individual Member States? So far, there is no uniform overview. That is why the cyberintelligence.institute (CII), in cooperation with the Swiss company Asea Brown Boveri (ABB), has developed an up-to-date overview of the EU NIS 2 implementation status with numerous interesting country-specific insights.

“The new European Cybersecurity Directive (NIS2), which makes securing IT systems a cross-industry compliance obligation, must be implemented by the European member states by October 17, 2024. The countries are taking very different approaches, as the following comparative study shows. The key finding: just as there is no single way for the companies concerned to implement NIS2, there is no single way for the EU member states to implement the European directive.”
