Election as Chairman of the Gematik Digital Advisory Board

This week, our Scientific Director Prof. Dr. Dennis-Kenji Kipker was elected Chairman of Gematik's new Digital Advisory Board in Berlin. The aim of the Digital Advisory Board is to ensure the secure and sustainable digitalization of the healthcare system in Germany. To this end, it meets several times a year to develop practical proposals on current digitalization challenges and to advise Gematik on their implementation.

Our Research Director Prof. Dr. Dennis-Kenji Kipker was a live guest on the ZDF TV morning show “Volle Kanne” this week to talk about the possibilities and dangers of using artificial intelligence in public authorities and government institutions. His central thesis: When new and innovative technologies are used, a technology impact assessment should always be carried out in advance in order to be able to adequately mitigate the associated risks.

NIS2 in a European Country Comparison

The European general cybersecurity Directive NIS 2 must be implemented in all EU Member States - but how far has implementation progressed in the individual Member States? So far, there is no uniform overview. That is why the cyberintelligence.institute (CII), in cooperation with the Swiss company Asea Brown Boveri (ABB), has developed an up-to-date overview of the EU NIS 2 implementation status with numerous interesting country-specific insights.
